falling...
when i woke up the other morning, one of the very first thoughts that came to my mind was, "if all the trees in the world fell over, would there be any room left?" hm, good question... as i said, random nothingness. the question remains as to whether it is in fact worth considering. does it really matter? it's pretty unlikely that all the trees in the world would fall over at the exact same moment. and if they did, it would be a rather sad day; i like trees.
if they did fall over, what would we do with them?
let us hope that all the trees in the world do not fall over all at the same time.

snow white banana socks
i prefer the latter. ya know why? well, because when you get down to the last bit of the banana, there's something to hold on to. if you peel it the first way, there's nothing left at the bottom to hold on to when you reach the end of the banana.
anyway, just a thought...
i hate socks. i hate shoes too. why can't we all walk around on bare feet?
this week will be busy. the past two days have been busy enough... i had a calculus quiz and a physics test today. ugh. i spent altogether too much time in the testing center today... and yesterday was busy because a homework and studying for those tests. that calculus quiz was actually kind of fun; i like integrals. the physics test was fun too, but would have been more fun if it hadn't taken so dang long. oh well. life goes on. besides, i think i'm already somewhat recooperated from it. :)
in german class we're reading snow white and the seven dwarfs. it's interesting how this version is different from the disney version. it amuses me. i love german..

purple squares
and speaking of the color purple, i like to color. i love crayons. coloring books are so therapeutic. yesterday i wasn't feeling so good, but then i colored a picture in the sesame street coloring book that we have and i felt much better. plus there was hot chocolate--that always makes me feel better, too.
you know, sometimes i get confused where to put commas in the middle of sentences. i used to know where to put them, and i mostly still do.. but in german, you use commas to separate any sort of clause. english has too many rules...

aye aye
"We are challenged to move through a process of conversion toward that status and condition called eternal life. This is achieved not just by doing what is right, but by doing it for the right reason—for the pure love of Christ. The Apostle Paul illustrated this in his famous teaching about the importance of charity (see 1 Cor. 13). The reason charity never fails and the reason charity is greater than even the most significant acts of goodness he cited is that charity, "the pure love of Christ" (Moro. 7:47), is not an act but a condition or state of being. Charity is attained through a succession of acts that result in a conversion. Charity is something one becomes. Thus, as Moroni declared, "except men shall have charity they cannot inherit" the place prepared for them in the mansions of the Father (Ether 12:34; emphasis added)." Dallin H. Oaks, "The Challenge to Become," Ensign, Nov 2000, 32–34
"Charity is, perhaps, in many ways a misunderstood word. We often equate charity with visiting the sick, taking in casseroles to those in need, or sharing our excess with those who are less fortunate. But really, true charity is much, much more.
Real charity is not something you give away; it is something that you acquire and make a part of yourself. And when the virtue of charity becomes implanted in your heart, you are never the same again. It makes the thought of being a basher repulsive.
Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don't judge or categorize someone else, when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or remain quiet. Charity is accepting someone's differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings; having patience with someone who has let us down; or resisting the impulse to become offended when someone doesn't handle something the way we might have hoped. Charity is refusing to take advantage of another's weakness and being willing to forgive someone who has hurt us. Charity is expecting the best of each other." Marvin J. Ashton, "The Tongue Can Be a Sharp Sword," Ensign, May 1992, 18

facebookless.
it feels good not to have wasted five hours (or more) of the day on facebook. truly, that's about as much time we waste..it's sad. we like to all sit in the living room and chat on facebook to each other. like i said, pathetic. anyway, i actually got stuff done today! i crocheted around two squares. i got homework done--homework that isn't due until next week! how cool is that?
just think--i could probably be done with my Afghan by now if it weren't for silly ol' things like facebook and tetris and comics like "Triangle and Robert" (that's a really funny comic by the way...go read it..). i could have read a book or two. i could...i could...
well, the point is that wasted time doesn't feel very good. spend time doing important things. things that matter. go learn something new. invent your own language..okay, i think that one would actually count as wasting time, depending on what you intend to do with your new language. use your own discretion on that one. anyway, you get the point. i get the point. don't waste time.
we're gonna try this experiment next week on tuesday. you should tag along. you can do it; i believe in you.
i'm really looking forward to those brownies.

tapioca pudding and rockets
hmm.. i feel like a picture. let's see what i have.

this one's fun. from art class a couple years ago. i forget what all the parts were supposed to be, but one was Aborigine style, one was me, and one was Japanese ink. i don't remember what the other part was supposed to be.. oh! i'm getting something.. i think it was Native American. that was a fun class.
speaking of classes...my classes are still going great. i got my physics test back today and i did pretty good. my teacher told me i got the highest score out of the whole class. yay for me. i suppose that's mainly due to the fact that i've taken a physics class before and have already learned this stuff (except centripetal acceleration and circular motion stuff...). anyway, i love physics. in my physics lab we get to launch rockets in a couple weeks. but first we have to predict where it'll land. that'll be so much fun. oo...especially in the snow that with undoubtedly come. but really, it'll be fun--just really really cold. brr.
