i did a research paper recently for my Book of Mormon class. I chose to research about charity and i found some pretty cool quotes. these are some of my favorites:

"We are challenged to move through a process of conversion toward that status and condition called eternal life. This is achieved not just by doing what is right, but by doing it for the right reason—for the pure love of Christ. The Apostle Paul illustrated this in his famous teaching about the importance of charity (see 1 Cor. 13). The reason charity never fails and the reason charity is greater than even the most significant acts of goodness he cited is that charity, "the pure love of Christ" (Moro. 7:47), is not an act but a condition or state of being. Charity is attained through a succession of acts that result in a conversion. Charity is something one becomes. facebookless.

i get on facebook way too much...so today my roommate and i made a deal that we wouldn't get on facebook all day (she didn't make it (she has to make me brownies), but i did (so far)). i was sorely tempted a couple times--like a few minutes ago. i thought to myself, "it's almost the end of the day...and my roommate is on...and it'll only be for a minute...". but i didn't do it. i resisted. and now i'm writing this instead. aren't you glad?

it feels good not to have wasted five hours (or more) of the day on facebook. truly, that's about as much time we waste..it's sad. we like to all sit in the living room and chat on facebook to each other. like i said, pathetic. anyway, i actually got stuff done today! i crocheted around two squares. i got homework done--homework that isn't due until next week! how cool is that?

just think--i could probably be done with my Afghan by now if it weren't for silly ol' things like facebook and tetris and comics like "Triangle and Robert" (that's a really funny comic by the way...go read it..). i could have read a book or two. i could...i could...

well, the point is that wasted time doesn't feel very good. spend time doing important things. things that matter. go learn something new. invent your own language..okay, i think that one would actually count as wasting time, depending on what you intend to do with your new language. use your own discretion on that one. anyway, you get the point. i get the point. don't waste time.

we're gonna try this experiment next week on tuesday. you should tag along. you can do it; i believe in you.

i'm really looking forward to those brownies.

tapioca pudding and rockets

i love tapioca pudding. and i kinda want some right now. too bad i don't have any... oh well.

hmm.. i feel like a picture. let's see what i have.


this one's fun. from art class a couple years ago. i forget what all the parts were supposed to be, but one was Aborigine style, one was me, and one was Japanese ink. i don't remember what the other part was supposed to be.. oh! i'm getting something.. i think it was Native American. that was a fun class.

speaking of classes...my classes are still going great. i got my physics test back today and i did pretty good. my teacher told me i got the highest score out of the whole class. yay for me. i suppose that's mainly due to the fact that i've taken a physics class before and have already learned this stuff (except centripetal acceleration and circular motion stuff...). anyway, i love physics. in my physics lab we get to launch rockets in a couple weeks. but first we have to predict where it'll land. that'll be so much fun. oo...especially in the snow that with undoubtedly come. but really, it'll be fun--just really really cold. brr.
